Free version of qTrace released

We are pleasantly surprised to be able to report that QASymphony’s advanced incident reporting tool qTrace is now free to use. It supports rapid documentation and easy reproduction of incidents that occur during manual test execution. Unlike other tools used to do that qTrace is not a movie recorder but a capture tool: it produces an annotatable script with detailed test steps linked to screenshots. It is a Windows application and captures Windows and web applications accessed with IE, Firefox or Chrome.

The only limitation of the free version (the full Pro offering costs US$ 49 per year) is a maximum of three incidents per day submitted directly to an incident management tool: all the well known ones are supported. The free version also includes advertising and watermarks which have no impact on use.

The free download is available at http://qasymphony.com. Registration is required to activate the product.
